May 24, 2008 - Hey everybody! Haven't updated this in quite sometime.
Things have been busy since the first of the year. We have worked in our new guitar play, Aaron Hanusa, who replaced Jed on guitar who replaced Frank on bass. Looking back on the past 5 months I can see that we made a lot of progress; Aaron picked up the new material pretty quickly, which allowed us to be out there still without missing much of a beat. Granted, our set was a little limited, but we were still able to play the night through without having to repeat a tune! :)
We have been renting over at Madison Music Foundary for over a year now. I do believe we are his [Mike's] longest standing clients. It's a clean facility with a big performance room for recording in. We have been recording in our little practice space with a collection of microphones. This has been more or less experimentally at this point. I am stress testing my laptop to see how well it records 8 tracks, messing with mic positioning and determining if mic bleed will be a big problem. Some of this is already very useful material that will appear on a future release. Basically, we have to get serious about releasing some material. I feel we are pretty prolific, always generating material. Alot of it just goes out to the ether, only to be heard by us at that moment.
I would say ... look out for us in the late summer or early fall to be back in the ring with some new chops and things to show ya! With this new lineup the magic will happen!
